Objective: Identify engine and enabling industries for Central Highlands and the factors that drive economic growth in those industries, informed by stakeholder insight and economic Analysis.
Key activities:
Literature review on theories of innovation and factors that drive Invention, innovation, and adoption.
Identify and engage core stakeholders, to identify existing initiatives being undertaken in the region aligned to innovation
Research global innovation precincts and hubs to draw on lessons learned and international best practice. Ensure a sound benchmark of what has and hasn’t worked across similar initiatives

Draft innovation agenda in Central Highlands to be tested against factors driving economic growth in the next phase of work to identify key barriers and enablers to innovation, informed by stakeholder insights.
